Google has allowed its employees to work from home by the end of this year.
The company has said that the employees who are doing work from home at this time can continue it till the end of the year.
The company plans to start work from July 6th in many cities with 10% employees, the company is giving them $1000 (about 75000/- rupees) for the convenience of the people who are doing work from home, so that employees can get computers and Buy essential things like furniture etc.
Only 10% of employees will be in the initial phase
Sundar Pichai, CEO of the company, said on Tuesday that initially the company is thinking of resuming work with only 10% staff and all the facilities will be taken care of. Pichai also told that when the employees join again, they can also find the color of office quite different from before.
According to Pichai, if it is very important for the employee to come to the office, then the manager will tell him and if it is not necessary to come to the office, then that employee can do work from home by the end of this year.
Special attention will be taken for social distancing
It is important to take care of cleanliness and purity especially in the office so that all the employees can feel safe.
Google has a total of 70 offices in 50 countries across the world and Google has offices in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Hyderabad and Mumbai, the company has more than 53,000 employees in India alone.
Other companies have also given special packages to employees
Facebook also gave a bonus of 75000/- rupees to its employees so that employees can buy all the necessary equipment and furniture to work from their home.
Other big companies like Infosys, HCL, TCS have also clearly stated that they will continue to promote work from home even after the crisis is over.
